It was an early start for me yesterday from Yorkshire - on the road at 3.45 am - but some very good talks with our friends at Get Kids Going!, BOOST and Crystal.
It's always good to see Jane at GKG! they do a fantastic job and their offices are always a real hive of activity processing entries for events all over the world. They still have some Great North Run places left, but be quick as the closing date is coming up really fast. If you are not already running for DSUK, then get on the phone to Jane and her team for an entry - 020 7481 8110.
Get Kids Going! have committed to helping us out again this year and are planning to come out to Russia with us to see Sochi in February. We will all be there looking at the future paralympic venue together - our great supporters are always made very welcome at our competitions.
It was a pleasure too to meet again with Robert Houston and Lucy Till of BOOST. They are very enthusiastic supporters of our work in athlete development and helped us to be able to run our programming with new skiers last season, funding our camp in Austria.
Fiona and I rounded off the day with Tea at the Grosvenor Hotel where we had the pleasure of picking the brains of Geoff Keeling and Liz Hawkins from Crystal on ways in which we can work better to increase the funding appeal of DSUK to a wider market.
This very long, but productive, day ended back up in Yorkshire at 10pm last night.
